Able To Commute To Daufuskie Island Daily For Work
Renovation and restoration project experience required.
5 Years of Carpentry Experience
Prior Experience As A Site Superintendent Or Lead Carpenter Preferred
Must be a team player with a willingness to serve the client with high-quality detail in an expedient manner.
Able to read and evaluate architectural plans to gain an understanding of the design intent.
This person will provide quantity and material take-offs from plans, foresee potential conflicts between the design and the existing conditions, and be proactive in preparation for construction.
Willing to communicate through email, text, and telephone.
Computer use and software knowledge are a plus.
Can you see in your mind's eye what is behind that wall? A thorough "know-how" of wood frame construction and finished trim is a must.
The challenges of working on an island without a bridge require an organized, proactive individual. Materials and subcontractors arrive by barge and ferry.
