Lead Carpenter / Site Superintendent

Pay:

  • $30-$35/Hr + Benefits

Hours:

  • Full Time | Weekdays 

Requirements: 

  • Valid Drivers License & Clean Driving Record

  • Able To Commute To Daufuskie Island Daily For Work

  • Renovation and restoration project experience required.

  • 5 Years of Carpentry Experience

  • Prior Experience As A Site Superintendent Or Lead Carpenter Preferred

  • Must be a team player with a willingness to serve the client with high-quality detail in an expedient manner.

  • Able to read and evaluate architectural plans to gain an understanding of the design intent. 

  • This person will provide quantity and material take-offs from plans, foresee potential conflicts between the design and the existing conditions, and be proactive in preparation for construction. 

  • Willing to communicate through email, text, and telephone. 

  • Computer use and software knowledge are a plus.

  • Can you see in your mind's eye what is behind that wall? A thorough "know-how" of wood frame construction and finished trim is a must.

  • The challenges of working on an island without a bridge require an organized, proactive individual. Materials and subcontractors arrive by barge and ferry.
